At Transitions Recovery, we believe that a good alcohol rehab center gives hope to those suffering from alcoholism. The point is not to scare a patient out of addiction but help a person make incremental steps that allow that person to transition from a life of addiction to a life of successful sobriety.
When a patient begins treatment with us, our caring, professional staff conducts an individual evaluation to find out how we can best address each patient’s alcohol abuse treatments needs. We don’t offer a cookie-cutter program that we expect every patient to follow because we know that addiction recovery is not one-size-fits all. And we continue evaluating a patient throughout their time with us because what a person needs may change throughout a journey towards sobriety. Because addiction recovery is a process, we do not want anyone to feel stuck or remain static and recognize that there may be times when it is necessary to add or remove an element of treatment to further progress.
A patient’s program might include (but is not limited to) the following treatment elements:
- Disease and recovery education through lectures and meetings
- Participation in 12-Step programs
- Relapse prevention groups
- One-on-one drug treatment counseling
- Group therapy and counseling
- Gender-specific groups
- Specialized dual diagnosis evaluation and treatment
Perhaps that looks like a lot but we evaluate patients carefully in order to come up with a treatment plan that can really zero in on an individual’s needs. And remember—some patients will be able to make progress with fewer of those elements.
And all of our patients have access to Continuing Care and we work with them so they can maintain sobriety. In cases where treatment is not voluntary, the alcohol rehab center psychiatric and psychological services should remain available to patients for life, including continued relapse prevention education and 24-hour access to alcohol treatment center staff.
