Transitions Recovery Offers 3 Distinct Therapy Programs and Lifetime Aftercare to Help You or a Loved One Beat Addiction for Good

Residential Treatment: At our residential treatment program, you’ll live on-site and participate in a highly regimented daily schedule of counseling, group therapy, and sober life skills education. The program typically ranges in length from 30 to 90 days depending on the severity of the addiction.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) also known as Day/Night Treatment(with or without housing): This program requires daily attendance at our treatment center and a 4-8 hour per day time commitment, but you’re able to still live at home. Day Treatment is considered a step down track of therapy from residential treatment.

Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Programs: Our intensive outpatient treatment program typically requires between 9 and 20 hours of therapy per week while general outpatient is less than that. These programs usually meet 2 to 5 times per week. For both programs, you’ll still be able to live at home and simply commute to our Miami location for therapy. This will allow you to continue a relatively normal work and family schedule while still receiving the help you need to overcome addiction.

Continuing Care Relapse Prevention: Transitions offers lifetime aftercare and relapse prevention to all patients. Our ongoing support ensures you receive the care you need to stay sober permanently. We have an alumni association and alumni meetings you’ll have the opportunity to join and participate in as part of your aftercare.

To meet the individual needs of our patients, our substance abuse treatment center combines chemical dependency evaluation services with a full continuum of care. Every chemical dependency and patient is unique. We determine the optimum length of stay or type of program based on each individual’s needs. We offer ongoing evaluation during each phase of treatment to determine the patient’s requirements for a successful recovery from alcohol and drug abuse.

Extended Care Treatment

The Transitions Recovery program encompasses two essential phases based on the needs and progress of the patient.

In the first phase, the patient receives the most intense level of therapy, which can include group therapy, individual therapy, family therapy, psycho-educational presentations, and attending 12-step meetings.

The initial phase of the program provides an informational base that encourages awareness and understanding of chemical dependency. Topics range from drug and alcohol abuse to co-occurring problems (dual diagnosis), to development of constructive life skills like household budgeting and impulse control.

Phase two allows reentry into the community accompanied by less intense therapy, supporting the ultimate goal of recovery and self-sufficiency. This phase is continuous and based on the patient’s progress as assessed by the multi-disciplinary addiction treatment center team and the patient.

Program for Families of Addicts

When an individual suffers from substance abuse, their family also suffers. We believe that families need and deserve support just as the patient does. Transitions Recovery offers ongoing family support groups, so family members can work with trained professionals to begin recovery for themselves and the substance abuser.
